1920 Remodeled Home:

Front porch enclosure, new driveway, chimney demo and new fireplace install, new boiler

“We were very pleased with the whole experience of working with Plum Construction on a series of interrelated projects in our Wallingford home. Emre and Josh helped us figure out creative and cost effective solutions, presented us with a range of options, did a great job of helping us “expect the unexpected” (always important with an older home) and executed the jobs beautifully, on time and on budget.”  – Robin and Paul Schachter

We had a very pleasant summer working on Paul and Robins projects.  They had a crumbling 35’ tall chimney needed to be removed, old wood burning fireplace replaced with a direct vent gas fireplace, very old deteriorating open front porch left un-finished from the previous owners attempt to re-built and a crumbled drive way.  We knew from the beginning that this was not a week long project.

We have removed the old chimney, replicated the old corbels and scallop fascia trims and installed matching cedar shake siding after insulation.

The old porch was planned to be re-configured and enclosed.  Upon demolition, the new footers were poured, framing, new windows, a beautiful Dutch door were installed.  We have completed the project with built in bench, crown molding inside and matching exterior trim work.

Old driveway was replaced with a thicker concrete pad with rebar; now it enjoys being bounced on by Rachel Paul and her friends.
